DOC Lamuri Nero D'Avola Sicilia
DOC Lamuri Nero D'Avola Sicilia
Selection of Nero d'Avola grapes from high hills. The expression of primary fragrances, without excesses of ripeness, differentiates it from the vine grown in the hottest Sicily. A blend of barriques of different ages give soft and elegant tannins, with a wood that is never invasive. It’s "Love" that Tasca d'Almerita puts into her work.
Vintage: 2019
Variety: 100% Nero d'Avola
The average duration of fermentation is 12 days, the aging takes place in French Oak barrels for 20% new and 80% for the second and third passage, for about 12 months. The farm Tasca D'Almerita cultivates the vineyard in five different estates in Sicily - Regaleali, Capofaro, Sallier de La Tour, Tascante and Whitaker (island of Mozia) - each with its own characteristics.
Different soils and climates cross the island and give life to a long harvest season that begins in mid-August and is completed between the end of October and the beginning of November.
Bottled by Conte Tasca d'Almerita SOC. Agr. ARL, Palermo, Italy, in his own estate Regaleali, Sclafani Bagni, Italy.
