Wine with an intense color with violet hues, scent of small forest fruits and notes of anise and sweet licorice (typical of the Sangiovese), well integrated with a light spiciness. Soft on the palate, with a good aftertaste of fruit and light vanilla.
Variety: Sangiovese 92% Merlot 8%
Duration of maceration 10/12 days, racking at the end of fermentation. In March-April passage in small, medium and large capacity barrels. Aging for 8-12 months in barrel and 3 months in bottle. The Castle of Farnetella is located in the municipality of Sinalunga in the province of Siena. It is located in a particular micro-area, located south-east of the Chianti Classico and north of Montalcino, on the border with the production area of the noble wine of Montepulciano. The Chianti Colli Senesi Docg denomination includes this territory, which is fully part of the wider orographic context of Chianti.
