PGI Colle della Luna Bergamasca Red
Wine with a bright ruby red color with a marked purple reflection; fruity scents prevails on a fresh and pungent herbaceous note, also fresh and of considerable intensity and persistence. Intense flavor enlivened by a fresh acidic presence, the soft tannins prevail over the greener and more aggressive ones.
Variety: 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon
The fermentation proceeds with temperature changes at a controlled temperature and continuous pumping over for 6 days. For the refinement, the wine is placed in barriques for 20% of the total mass. The stay in wood ends after a year with assembly and bottling. The Monzio Compagnoni farm is located in Adro among the splendid hills of Franciacorta, in a farmhouse from the 1400s, and is now considered one of the most dynamic wineries operating in the Franciacorta and Bergamasco wine sector.
