IGP Mjere Salento Rosato
With a careful selection of grapes and a complex "lacrima" vinification we obtain this extraordinary Rosé of maximum typicality, which stands out for its singularity of taste and for "the enthralling Mediterranean", pride of the Michele Calò & Figli Winery
Varieties: Negroamaro 90% and Malvasia Nera Leccese 10%, cultivated with the traditional system in the most typical area of Salento, and precisely in the municipalities of Tuglie, Sannicola and Alezio.
The grapes are left to macerate for about 16/18 hours depending on the ripeness and at the time of racking only 25-30% is destined for the production of "Mjère" Rosato. Exclusively the best part, the limpid one with a coral pink colour, is destined to the fermentation that lasts about 7-8 days.
The selection of the best grapes picked at the right time to obtain an ideal acidity, the choice of the right time for racking, in addition to the details and assiduous care, are the prerequisites to obtain this high quality rose. Bottled by Michele Calò & Figli, Tuglie, Italy.
